Allan Chavkin received his BA from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA and his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana. His publications include five books and more than fifty articles on modern literature. In 2002 he received Texas State's Presidential Award for Excellence in Scholarly and Creative Activities.
