The KAP Literary Center also sponsors free readings,
with refreshments served afterwards. All readings at
the KAP Literary Center are open to the public.

In the past few years, such writers as United States Poet Laureate
Robert Hass and Pulitzer Prize winners Annie Proulx and Richard Ford have read at the Center.


Directions (from Austin):
- Take I-35 South to Kyle exit 213.
- Go to the stop sign on the feeder road.
- Take a right on to Center Street.
- Go past downtown and past Baptist church on the right.
- The Katherine Anne Porter Literary Center is the next house at 508 Center Street.

Additional parking is available at the elementary school off Gross Street and at the Kyle Public Library across the street from Kyle Elementary.
