Internship in English Studies
English 3312: Internship in English Studies
"The Internship in English Studies program has been a highlight of my academic career at Texas State. Before this program, I was scared that my English degree would lead me down the road of dead end coffee house jobs, where my only claim to fame would be third place at the local poetry slam (that sounds pretty good). Alas, there is more. I have always dreamed of writing for a living. Because of the Internship in English Studies program, that dream is now a reality. Through the program, I got an internship with a local social media marketing agency. I learned to set goals, act as a professional, and deliver projects on deadline. The company I interned with then hired me, and I am now a professional copywriter. The Internship in English Studies program = Dream Come True."
-Taye Marshall, English Major and Former Intern
